Nicki Heskin
Nicki Heskin lives with her husband and two incredible daughters, ages 9 and 5, in Claremont, California. Over the years, she's had an eclectic career path, including marketing and PR, non-profit fundraising, event planning, and educational fundraising and alumni relations. Once her first child was born, she left the 40-hour workweek, became a full-time mom and began her journey to entrepreneurship.
Nicki then worked for more than two years as the member services director and then managing director for another entrepreneur, running NEW Entrepreneurs, a conscious businesswomen's networking group, and helping to develop the Conscious Business Circle. During this time, Nicki worked with and got to know some of the biggest names and rising stars in internet marketing, small business branding, conscious entrepreneurship, and more. She was also privileged to become a published print author, contributing the essay "Loving the Life I Never Knew I Wanted," about her path to stay-at-home-motherhood and entrepreneurship to the book "Inspiration to Realization: Real Women Reveal Proven Strategies for Personal, Business, Financial and Spiritual Fulfillment, Volume II."
Currently, Nicki is a freelance writer and small business consultant/virtual consultant. She is the Breastfeeding Site Editor and Parenting-Early Childhood Site Editor at BellaOnline.com, writing weekly and moderating a forum on those topics. She is also published in the areas of parenting and event planning at ClubMom and Associated Content. In her "spare time," she also has fun writing Amazon reviews, participating in Amazon Vine (top reviewers club), and is currently a Top 2500 ranked reviewer. As a business consultant, she works with entrepreneurs, helping with everything from basic assisting to full-spectrum consulting.
Nicki is in the early stages of pursuing her dream of creating an online parenting resource and support website. She is also the founder and co-leader of her local chapter of Holistic Moms Network and serves as Room Liasion and regular volunteer for her daughter´s amazingly progressive (but public) elementary school class.
